Chrysler reveals two stunning new cars

Chrysler Group has unveiled two brand new production cars at the Detroit Auto Show this week – and both will be coming to the UK in right hand drive.

The first of these new vehicles is the Dodge Avenger which will be on sale at Chrysler Group dealers from September 2007.

The Avenger is an all-new mid-size saloon that combines bold, aggressive Dodge styling with innovative interior features, high-levels of safety and reliability and excellent fuel efficiency.

Peter Lambert, Managing Director for Chrysler Group UK said: “Just as the Dodge Caliber and Nitro have sparked huge interest in the Dodge brand in their respective segments, the Dodge Avenger brings that assertive attitude and bold styling to the mid-size saloon segment. There’s just nothing else like it on the road.”

From the front, the brand’s signature crosshair grille and large, quad headlamps all add to Avenger’s menacing glare while the side profile shares family traits with the Dodge Charger with muscular rear shoulders, large wheels and a sleek rear spoiler.

The second new car due to launch in the UK during 2008 is the Chrysler Grand Voyager with an all-new exterior and interior design plus an updated range of petrol and diesel engines.

More than thirty new features aim to make the new 2008 seven-seat model a ‘family room on wheels’. New features include heated first and second row seats; rear-view interior conversation mirror; a removable torch in the rear quarter panel; electric windows in the power sliding second-row doors and movable LED reading lamps.

Peter Lambert added: “The Grand Voyager has always been a big seller in the UK and the new model has all the right ingredients to make the Grand Voyager the most comfortable family car ever.”

These two new vehicles weren’t the only show-stoppers from Chrysler Group.

The Chrysler Nassau is a four-door, four-seat luxury coupe concept car. Although this concept is built on the full-size 120-inch wheelbase, it appears more visually compact than the Chrysler 300C that it is based on, as this concept aims to move away from the traditional exterior proportions of a large American saloon.

The Jeep Trailhawk combines the core off-road features of the new four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the refined sophistication of an all-new on-road open-air concept vehicle. The designers of this model wanted to create a refined highway cruiser without sacrificing any of Jeep’s legendary off-road capabilities.
