When I drive mine very carefully I get around 17 to 19 but then some twat tries to race me and it drops down to 15 again ha ha.

Rob Gaunt is right, its between 14 and 16mpg, basically I get 180 miles out of one tank but when I drive ever so carefully (once in a blue moon, I get 220 miles) lol.

Average has to be 15mpg overall though!

I've just bought a Mitsubishi Pajero for my work journeys as I was spending up to £500 per month on fuel just going too and from work as it's a 50 mile round trip and I do it 7 days a week!

If I had a choice of ANY car NO LIMITS I would still pick the SRT8. Nothing compares to it for speed, comfort all rolled into one!

i own an srt8 and i can confirm that you get around 14-16mpg. this doesn't alter no matter how you drive it!!!!! if you are planning to buy one, its the most fun you will ever have!! the running costs are quite high though, not only the fuel, but tyres/brakes etc... i had a set of tyres at 21000 miles not bad i admit, but this set me back £800!!! i now need pads and discs all round, this is at a cost of £1300, if you get them done at the dealers. i have shopped around and can buy the parts for just over £400 and get a trusty grease monkey to fit them!!!

any more questions let me know. i hope this helps. dont be put off though, as the car is absolutely amazing!!!

Hi Alan

They are amazing aren't they! I am on my second one now. I had a Range Rover before, got rid to get one of these, then sold as I did a Cannonball in it and wanted something different for the next Cannonball Rally so bought a Porsche Carrera Convertible. Ended up binning the Porsche for another SRT8. There is just no other vehicle to match the SRT8.

Speed, handling, reliability and comfort all in one car and looks awesome at the same time.

If I could have my choice - no restrictions at all, I would still pick the SRT8 over any car!

Can you tell me if you have noticed a reduction in performance since having it converted and where did you get this work done?

I do about 1,500 to 2,000 miles a month in mine and am interested in the conversion but only if there isn't a lack in performance!

I bought my SRT8 as a six month old = 90 miles only ex-demo for £14K off the list price.
I stuck LPG on it and it does 16-18 MPG at 59P/litre.
Bargain - absolutely fantastic beast and wouldn't swap it for the world!

Having plenty of good times behind the wheel of a 07 jeep srt8. I would like to drive it during the winter here in Canada. Factory wheels are F 20x9 255/45/20 R 20x10 285/40/20. Not well suited for winter driving. I prefer to find some factory ones in a 20x8 from U.K. Are they readily available?

I've had an SRT-8 since late 2006, swapped cars with the missus' after we had a baby in January and now drive her R32.

I have to say, while the SRT-8 puts a grin on your face every time you press hard on the loud pedal, the R32's handling makes a much more fun car to drive.

We're soon selling one bonkers car so we can have one sensible car in the family, and it'll be the R32 I keep.
