Autoexpress.co.uk reports that: A lethal combination of worn-out tarmac and badly inflated tyres is putting lives at risk, according to the AA Motoring Trust. It says 17 per cent of main roads fail basic skid resistance tests, while nine of every 10 vehicles are running on incorrectly inflated rubber - and together that’s a recipe for disaster. A spokesman said: “Tyres are critical car safety components, yet most people don’t check them.”
